Education
I graduated from Washington State University and then attended law school at the University of Oregon.
Experience
After graduation from law school in 2000, I had my own law practice before beginning work as a deputy prosecutor.
I progressed in rank at the Spokane County Prosecutor’s office, rising to the level of felony prosecutor and was working on cases as diverse as: Leading Organized Crime, Stolen Vehicles, and Human Trafficking. From 2009-2011 I was the designated Spokane County Auto Theft Task Force Prosecutor. I have litigated nearly one hundred cases to jury trial, some of these being high-profile cases. Based on my reputation as one of the top prosecutors in Eastern Washington, I agreed to move into private practice. I have developed significant experience in family law, including litigation of many trial matters involving child custody disputes and major asset/business valuation issues. In addition to the literally thousands of cases I handled as a prosecutor, I would estimate that I have successfully handled hundreds of family law cases over the years I have been practicing family law.
